Ribbon Cuttings

What To Expect At Your Ribbon Cutting

Ribbon Cuttings can be scheduled Monday – Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM in Palm Beach County, FL, based on The Chamber staff availability. Professional photography and videography availability will need to be confirmed via communication with The Chamber staff before you proceed with scheduling the event. 

Arrival Time

The Chamber staff will arrive 30 minutes before the ribbon cutting ceremony. A member of the staff will bring the ribbon Chamber scissors.

Upon Arrival

• Ribbon cutting ceremonies usually take about 10 minutes.
• Guests arrive and the ceremony begins after a Chamber representative welcomes your business to The Chamber and the community.
• We will recognize dignitaries, if present, and you will have the opportunity to say a few words about your business.
• Guests are invited for a facility tour, refreshments, and to get acquainted with the new business.

The Chamber Will:

• Extend an invitation to The Chamber’s Board of Directors, Chamber Ambassadors, and Elected Officials. Attendance is subject to availability.
• Post your ribbon cutting event on The Chamber’s calendar, in the Business Watch Weekly E-Newsletter, and in the Business Watch Monthly Newspaper in The Palm Beach Post.
• After the event, The Chamber will post pictures on social media and feature a photo in the Business Watch Monthly Ribbon Cutting section of the Palm Beach Post.

You Will Need To:

  • Schedule your ribbon cutting by completing the request form online at PalmBeaches.org or call The Chamber at (561) 833-3711
  • Decide who will speak and cut the ribbon
  • Prepare your remarks for the ceremony
  • Invite friends, family, customers, business leaders and media to be part of the occasion.

Consider Additional Ideas for the Event:

  • Providing hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, door prizes, and entertainment. Make it a networking event!
  • Advertise on your website and social media. Consider inviting the press!
  • Book a professional photographer to tell your story after the event via your Membership portal news release!
